WHAT IS CIRCULAR FASHION DESIGN
Cristina Dan is a researcher in circular design with a focus on circular design strategies and circular value chains for the textile industry.
“There is not yet an established academic definition of what circular design is. However, based on current research I can define circular design as design that focuses on closed-loop material flows and multiple product life-cycles, implying a broadened systemic view over the value chain, business model, a deeper understanding of the needs of the user and the context in which we are creating in. Its goal is to create products, services or systems that are suitable for a circular economy.” Cristina Dan, 2021.
